Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways to contribute — find the role that fits you best.

Coaching

Head coaches and assistant coaches are needed across all age groups. All coaches must register under AAU and complete required training.

Head coaches receive season fees waived for one player. Assistant coaches receive 50% of season fee waived.

Score Keeping

Help track game scores, penalties, and statistics during regular season and tournament games. Training provided — no prior experience required.

Rink Maintenance

Assist with ice surface preparation, equipment setup, and general rink upkeep to ensure safe and quality conditions for all players.

Open Skate

Open Skate is run entirely by volunteers. Help with admission, skate rental assistance, safety monitoring, and general event coordination.

Concessions

Support EHA fundraising efforts by helping operate the concession stand during games and events. A fun way to be involved and support the association.

Other Opportunities

Fundraising events, raffles, bingo nights, and more. Board members can earn credit for volunteer hours that fall outside of typical board duties.

Volunteer Credit Program

EHA offers a volunteer credit program to help families offset the cost of registration.

How Credits Work

  • $5 credit awarded for every hour of volunteer service
  • Credit applied for up to 20 hours per player (up to $100)
  • Head Coaches — season fees waived for one player
